Water inSight

back
In this book Inge Bobbink and I explore the Dutch polder water system from a landscape architectural point of view and investigate how this helps to come to an integrated design approach for a resilient polder water system.

The water system of the Dutch polder landscape is often perceived as a work of civil engineering rather then a work of landscape architectural quality. The spatial quality and characteristics of the polder watersystem is therefor often overlooked.  In this book we explore the Dutch polder and it’s water system from a landscape architectural point of view and compare them with classical water gardens like Chatsworth and Villa d’Este.
